More than 12 months after starting the development work on the Panama Canal, the dimensions and the massive structural elements are clearly visible.
The Gatun lock facility on the Atlantic coast has three chambers positioned one after the other - each 403 m long and 55 m wide.
PERI is supporting the "construction project of the century" with the planning and delivery of huge quantities of formwork and scaffolding systems.
An essential element of the PERI solution is the new SCS climbing system – easy to handle and for transferring high loads.
The PERI systems used have been optimally adapted to suit site requirements and also include the integration of safe access means such as the PERI UP scaffold staircase.
The PERI LGS lattice girder system provides safe and rational solutions using system components for large spans or high loads.

With the help of PERI formwork and scaffolding solution, massive components, e.g. as shown here for the Miraflores lock, can be quickly and cost-effectively realized.
Table solutions with MULTIPROP towers are also part of the comprehensive PERI overall concept.
